JOHN SALAZAR has been singing since the day he was born. Guided by the immense vocal talents of his mother, father, and sister, he has embraced musical performance not merely as a career path, but as a way of life. This is most evident in his thoughtful, often intensely personal lyrics, heartfelt melodies, and soulful delivery. During his years of experience in studio and on stage, he has come to the conclusion that “the ultimate goal of the musician should be more than the pursuit of technical prowess, but rather an unwavering search for the purest expression of human emotion.

Sam SAM KOVIC’s interest in music was noted at an early age with the help of his
mother’s piano but found passion in an electric guitar as a teen. His intense love
for music lead him from the local blues jams to touring as part of a blues trio
and ending up at the New Orleans Jazz and Blues festival. Afterwards, he went
on to start several short and long-term projects and performed live and studio
sessions. Sam’s personal style pulls from his broad experiences on stage and
in the studio blending blues, rock, pop, bluegrass, funk, jazz; and an always
interesting and worldly view.
Ken KEN HELLER’s earliest musical memories are of his dad playing ‘Day Tripper’ on his half strung 12 string guitar and the music of Willie Nelson and Kenny Rogers being played on the house stereo on the weekends. Ken picked up his dad’s acoustic while in middle school, influenced by popular artists of the time, such as Crowded House and The Hooters. With time Ken’s influences began to broaden, adding The Beatles for their addictive melodies, Dylan for his incredible storytelling, and James Taylor for his proficiency on acoustic guitar and the calming quality of his songs. Ken is a repository of cover songs from all genres which aid and inspire in crafting mood and melody in Quoting Napoleon.
Guy GUY WETTSTEIN has been deeply associated with music his entire life believing that well written songs and skilled musicianship connect with people and affect them permanently. Having achieved proficiency on guitar and voice, it was the bass, with it's role at the intersection of rhythm and melody, where Guy found his true home. Influences come from just about everywhere but players such as James Jamerson, Paul McCartney, Jaco, Chuck Rainey, Sting, Geddy Lee and Tony Levin have had a profound impact on Guy’s own playing. His goal is to hold a solid groove that supports the melody, playing to enhance the music.
